Russell Roofing Celebrates Employees with Company Picnic
Company picnic filled with summer games, laughter and great food
Russell Roofing held its end of summer company picnic of Friday, Aug. 26 at Mermaid Lake in Blue Bell, Pa.
At 93 degrees and no clouds in sight, it was the perfect sunny day for swimming, water balloon fights, and water pistol fights. Other games included rounds of golf, horse shoes, an egg toss and an obstacle course. There was even a saw dust money pit where children had the chance to find and collect cash. Russell Roofing’s own Jose Orlena’s daughter gleefully grabbed $50 to take home.
Almost 100 people came to the picnic, including their families, and there was no shortage of food.
Hamburgers, BBQ chicken, macaroni salad, corn on the cob, potato salad, corn on the cob and of course, ice cream, were just a few options people enjoyed.
“We have a culture of family and camaraderie here at Russell Roofing,” said Ron Hall, sales manager. “That is evident on days like this when we can get together, have fun and share laughs. A big reason we are so motivated to delivering superior workmanship when on assignment is because we value the people inside first and foremost. Families live in those homes and their security is paramount to us—just as much as much as is the security of our own families.”
Employees were able to enjoy the whole day from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and it was a huge success. They can hardly wait to start planning next year’s festivities.
